Program Debat Pilpres Jangkau Lebih Banyak Pemirsa TV

Jakarta, 21 March, 2019 โ€“  Presidential Election Debate that has been conducted in three sessions by the General Elections Commission (Komisi Pemilihan Umum/KPU) reached more viewers compared to the similar program broadcasted on TV stations during the 2014 election period. Nielsen TV Audience Measurement(TAM) study revealed that the Rating and Reach of the three Debate programs were significantly higher than those of the 2014.

Jumlah stasiun TV yang menyiarkan Debat Pilpres lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan Debat Pilpres 2014. Hal ini sesuai dengan kebijakan KPU yang mewajibkan 18 stasiun TV untuk menyiarkan program tersebut. Sebanyak 13 stasiun TV telah menayangkannya, sementara pada tahun 2014 hanya ada 7 stasiun TV yang menyiarkan program debat.

The results of Nielsen’s monitoring in 11 cities found that the Total Reach of this year’s three presidential election debates was 57.6%, significantly higher than that of 2014 with 49.1%. As for the Rating, the three debate programs achieved much higher Combined Rating, and the highest one was the 2nd debate, i.e. the Presidential Candidate Debate Jokowi vs Prabowo.

Dalam hal Share, dari ketiga debat, debat kedua yang mempertemukan Jokowi vs Prabowo dengan topik energi, pangan dan sumber daya alam memperoleh Share tertinggi dengan 73,1%. Debat pertama Jokowi-Ma'ruf vs Prabowo-Sandiaga dengan tema hukum, HAM, korupsi dan terorisme memperoleh Share 55%; sedangkan debat ketiga dengan tema pendidikan, kesehatan, ketenagakerjaan, sosial dan budaya memperoleh Share 44%.

Dalam hal profil pemirsa, berdasarkan angka indeks Nielsen, ketiga program debat menjangkau lebih banyak perempuan, pemirsa berusia 40+ tahun dan pemirsa dari kelas atas. (lihat Tabel 1).
