This period was rich in significant sports and political events that drew viewers to traditional channels. As a result, in August, viewership of traditional television remained stable, while a slight overall decrease in screen time was attributed to streaming. The most-watched programs included Fakty (flagship newscast of TVN), volleyball matches (Polsat Sport and Polsat), a concert celebrating the anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising (TVP1), and the coverage of President Nawrocki’s inauguration (TV Republika). Among traditional TV stations, viewers most often watched TVP1, Republika, and Polsat.
After a historic July, the share of streaming in total TV screen time saw a decrease in August, both in viewing time and in the number of viewers, returning to a level of 9.7%, which is analogous to June 2025. Among streaming platforms, varied results were observed. YouTube’s share dropped to 2.2% (from 2.4% in July), while Netflix saw an increase, reaching 2.0% (0.2% more than in July). Additionally, Pilot WP, Canal+, and HBO Max recorded the biggest increases for the month.
