O relatório trimestral de audiência total da Nielsen nivela o campo de jogo entre dispositivos e plataformas

Demonstra a importância das métricas comuns para a medição total do público-alvo

WASHINTON, DC – June 23, 2015 – Today, Nielsen unveils the results of the Q1 2015 Total Audience Report at its annual client conference and global events series Consumidor 360. The latest edition of the report examines the different ways consumers are connecting with content and provides a comparable look at how devices, channels and technology platforms measure up against each other on a level playing field. The report also shares insights on how often different devices are accessed and time spent on each device.

A ênfase é colocada na importância de comparar diferentes plataformas usando métricas comuns. O relatório aborda a confusão do setor em torno do erro comum de comparar as visualizações de vídeo digital, ou uniques, com a audiência média por minuto da TV.

De acordo com o Total Audience Report da Nielsen, o rádio e a televisão tradicional têm o maior alcance de todas as plataformas analisadas. Especificamente, o rádio atinge quase 223 milhões de ouvintes semanais (93% dos adultos dos EUA) e a televisão atinge mais de 209 milhões de espectadores (87%). Entre os dispositivos digitais, os smartphones têm o maior alcance semanal, atingindo 70% da população adulta dos EUA.
