Michelle Gelman, SVP, Product at Nielsen, was tapped to receive the Tech Trailblazers Award for the 2024 Top Women in Media and Ad Tech program. The awards, organized by AdExchanger and AdMonsters, recognize, celebrate, inspire and bring together the women who are making an impact in the greater digital media and advertising technology community. The Tech Trailblazers category recognizes product and engineering-focused women who are creating and improving ad tech and media products in the media and advertising industry.
Over her 10-year tenure at Nielsen, Gelman has revolutionized Nielsen’s audience measurement products that have fundamentally altered how companies transact on audience measurement data. She oversees Nielsen’s core audience measurement solutions for National Television, Local Television, and Core Audio, serving a diverse array of clients.
In addition to national audience measurement, she has changed the game for Nielsen’s local TV measurement products, leading Nielsen’s transition of local television service from diary-based to electronic measurement. Michelle’s hands-on approach in analyzing data and collaborating with local clients facilitated a seamless transition while concurrently paving the way for the integration of big data capabilities into metered markets, demonstrating her strategic vision and operational acumen.
