New York, NY  — Oct. 8, 2020 — An estimated 57.9 million people tuned in to watch the first and only vice presidential debate of the 2020 election on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020. The debate was hosted at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah, and featured Democratic Vice Presidential Nominee Kamala Harris and Republican Vice Presidential Nominee Mike Pence.

While coverage varied by network, 18 aired live or tape delayed coverage from approximately 9:00 p.m. ET to 11:00 p.m. ET.
