 March 2025 – Less Time Spent Watching Video

Warsaw, Poland – April 28, 2025 – Nielsen, a global leader in audience measurement, data and analytics, has released its latest March All Screens Video Landscape report, covering viewership (a combination of total reach and time spent) from four screens: TVs, PC/laptops, smartphones and tablets. 

The first month of spring brought a decline in time spent watching video content. Compared to February, time spent consuming streaming content (ATV – Average Time Viewing) fell 3.2% in March to 59 minutes per day, while time spent with traditional content sources (cable, satellite, terrestrial) fell 3.8% to two hours and forty minutes.

Discovery consolidou sua posição como líder em participação de público, com 18,8%, aumentando a diferença em relação às outras emissoras. A composição dos 10 primeiros colocados em termos de audiência também permaneceu inalterada. No entanto, a Netflix caiu uma posição, ficando abaixo da SPI, que ficou em 8º lugar. 

As in February, traditional TV remains the preferred home screen for watching video content. Compared to the previous month, there was a one percentage point decline in the share of the big screen in favor of other devices in the viewing of Google, Netflix, and Canal+. The TV screen represents the following share of viewership for these three players respectively: 28% (Google), 83% (Netflix) and 97% (Canal+).    

Lucyna Koba, Market Leader, Nielsen Poland, said: “Our report, as every month, shows the situation in the media industry, enabling us to better understand viewers’ preferences and help our clients to better understand audience engagement and how they consume content. Information on audience declines – characteristic of the spring-summer period – can be a signal to look for new formats (for broadcasters and publishers) or strategies (for advertisers and agencies) to engage audiences during this time. On the other hand, the continued dominance of TV shows that traditional media still holds a strong position in Poland.”

O relatório All Screens Video Landscape foi criado para fornecer ao setor de mídia uma análise mensal da audiência dos 10 principais distribuidores de conteúdo de vídeo em todas as telas monitoradas pela Nielsen: TV, PC/laptop, smartphone e tablet.

Informações sobre a metodologia do All Screens Video Landscape 

Os dados são derivados de um painel de telemetria da Nielsen de fonte única, com 3.500 residências e quase 9.700 membros do painel. A compilação é baseada em dados mensais de participação de audiência AMR (Average Minute Rating). Os dados são apresentados para o grupo 4+ para os 10 grupos de distribuidores com a maior audiência total do mês. Os grupos de distribuidores individuais incluem todas as estações de TV e plataformas/players on-line pertencentes ao respectivo distribuidor e incluídos em nosso monitoramento.
