New York, NY  — Sept. 30, 2020 — An estimated 73.1 million people tuned in to watch the first debate of the 2020 presidential election on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020. The debate was hosted at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and featured Democratic Presidential Nominee Joe Biden and Republican Presidential Nominee Donald Trump.

Embora a cobertura varie de acordo com a emissora, 16 transmitiram a cobertura ao vivo aproximadamente das 21:00 às 23:00 horas. 

O gráfico abaixo destaca a soma da audiência média dessas redes. É importante observar que a visualização fora de casa (OOH) e a visualização de TV conectada (CTV) estão incluídas nos números totais de 2020 para essa consultoria.
