– News.com.au retains top place in Nielsen digital news rankings
– ABC News Website moves up to second place
– Nielsen’s new Digital Content Ratings data found that the unique audience was consistently highest to news content on Fridays
Sydney, Australia – 23 August 2017: Nielsen Digital Ratings (Monthly) data for July 2017 saw more Australians consuming Current Events & Global News content with a unique audience of 13.4 million, up 1% when compared to June 2017.
O News.com.au manteve a primeira posição com uma audiência única de 5,9 milhões, um aumento de 11% em relação ao mês anterior. Em segundo lugar ficou o ABC News Websites (4,7 milhões, +3%), que trocou de lugar com o nine.com.au (4,5 milhões, -4%).
Em quarto lugar nos dados digitais da Nielsen ficou o smh.com.au (+12%), em quinto o Daily Mail (0%), seguido pelo The Guardian (+4%), Yahoo7 News Websites (+4%) e BBC (0%).
O Daily Telegraph entrou no ranking dos dez primeiros, em nono lugar, com uma audiência única de 2,3 milhões (+5%), seguido pelo Herald Sun, em décimo lugar, com uma audiência única de 2,3 milhões (-2%).

Além disso, os dados do Digital Content Ratings da Nielsen revelaram que o news.com.au registrou a maior média diária de audiência única durante o mês de julho de 2017, com um pico de audiência de 1,3 milhão em 21 de julho de 2017, seguido pelo nine.com.au, com um pico de 1,1 milhão em 25 de julho de 2017.
