Sites sobre educaรงรฃo, carreira e viagens registram aumento no Ano Novo
Sydney, Austrรกlia โ 11 de fevereiro de 2016 โ Os primeiros nรบmeros da Nielsen Online Ratings de 2016 revelam que os australianos passaram o primeiro mรชs do ano online planejando o ano que se iniciava. Embora os eventos atuais e as notรญcias globais tenham permanecido relativamente estรกveis, os nรบmeros de janeiro mostram picos em sites focados em viagens, educaรงรฃo e carreira.
Com o fim da temporada festiva, vรกrios sites relacionados a viagens registraram um aumento no nรบmero de visitantes, incluindo sites de pesquisa e reserva de companhias aรฉreas e hotรฉis. A Qantas liderou a subcategoria de companhias aรฉreas com 1,9 milhรฃo de visitantes, enquanto a Virgin registrou um aumento de 19% desde dezembro, com 1,2 milhรฃo de visitantes. A Qatar Airways registrou um aumento de 357% em relaรงรฃo ao mรชs anterior, partindo de um pรบblico pequeno em dezembro, e a Air New Zealand e a Air Asia tiveram aumentos de mais de 110% desde dezembro.
Many Australians have also been booking or researching their next trip, with all top 10 entities in the cruise lines, hotels/hotel directories & multi-category travel categories seeing double digital audience growth since December. Overall, the hotels/hotel directories sub-category experienced a 25 percent increase since December, with Booking.com seeing an increase of 55 percent to an audience of 1.9 million, while second placed Trivago experienced the highest increase of 187 percent to 760,000 people.

Educational and career focused websites also saw an increase in audience as school leavers researched their tertiary education options and submitted preferences, while workers looked into career development opportunities or a new position. UAC, the Universities Admission Centreโs website, experienced a 110 percent increase with 122,000 people visiting the site in January. Many universities across the country saw spikes in audience, with the Education & Careers-Universities sub category growing 11% on December 2015.

Overall the sub-category grew in unique audience by 7 percent, as anticipated after the Christmas period.
