Nielsen Online Ratings for February show increases in unique audiences to broadcaster websitesNews.com.au retains top spot in online Current Events & Global News rankings

Sydney, Austrรกlia - 11 de marรงo de 2015 - O mรชs de fevereiro registrou um pico de audiรชncias exclusivas nos sites das emissoras, apรณs uma sรฉrie de novas programaรงรตes e o inรญcio da temporada de classificaรงรตes de TV de 2015.

Os รบltimos nรบmeros da Nielsen Online Ratings para fevereiro de 2015 mostram que o site da 9jumpin aumentou o pรบblico รบnico em 102% em comparaรงรฃo com o mรชs anterior, elevando seu pรบblico รบnico total para 1,4 milhรฃo.

Outros aumentos notรกveis em audiรชncias รบnicas de sites para emissoras sรฃo o Yahoo! TV, que cresceu 46% e atingiu uma audiรชncia รบnica de 1.070.000, enquanto a Foxtel (+28%) e a tenplay (+28%) tambรฉm registraram um forte crescimento.ย 

Comentando os resultados, Monique Perry, diretora de mรญdia da Nielsen, disse: "Com o inรญcio da nova temporada de audiรชncias de TV e o aumento da nova programaรงรฃo, as redes de TV comerciais foram bem-sucedidas em direcionar audiรชncias รบnicas e incrementais para seus portais on-line. Cada vez mais, estamos vendo o pรบblico procurar a internet para complementar sua exibiรงรฃo off-line e continuar seu envolvimento."

Current Events & Global News rankings remained stable during February, with no change in the top five rankings by unique audience, (see chart below). The top 10 comprised the same sites as January 2015 and there was only one shift in the rankings with the Herald Sun inching ahead of The Daily Telegraph to take ninth place. Just outside of the top 10, The Australian grew its unique audience by 21% in February compared to January, moving up one place to 14th position.

โ€œDespite the shorter month, we saw a slight increase in unique audiences to the overall Current Events & Global News category,โ€ added Perry.
