Nielsen Online Ratings for February show increases in unique audiences to broadcaster websitesNews.com.au retains top spot in online Current Events & Global News rankings
Sydney, Australia - 11 Maret 2015 - Bulan Februari terjadi lonjakan jumlah pemirsa unik di situs web lembaga penyiaran, menyusul banyaknya program baru dan dimulainya musim rating TV 2015.
Angka Nielsen Online Ratings terbaru untuk bulan Februari 2015 menunjukkan bahwa situs web 9jumpin mengalami peningkatan jumlah pengunjung sebesar 102% dibandingkan dengan bulan sebelumnya, sehingga total pengunjung mereka menjadi 1,4 juta.
Peningkatan penting lainnya dalam jumlah pemirsa unik situs web untuk penyiaran adalah Yahoo!7 TV, naik 46% untuk mencapai pemirsa unik sebanyak 1.070.000, sementara Foxtel (+28%) dan tenplay (+28%) juga mencatat pertumbuhan yang kuat.
Mengomentari hasil tersebut, Monique Perry, Kepala Media di Nielsen, mengatakan: "Dengan dimulainya musim rating TV yang baru dan meningkatnya program-program baru, jaringan TV komersial telah berhasil mendorong peningkatan jumlah pemirsa yang unik ke portal online mereka. Semakin banyak kita melihat pemirsa yang melihat secara online untuk melengkapi tontonan offline mereka dan melanjutkan keterlibatan mereka."
Current Events & Global News rankings remained stable during February, with no change in the top five rankings by unique audience, (see chart below). The top 10 comprised the same sites as January 2015 and there was only one shift in the rankings with the Herald Sun inching ahead of The Daily Telegraph to take ninth place. Just outside of the top 10, The Australian grew its unique audience by 21% in February compared to January, moving up one place to 14th position.
“Despite the shorter month, we saw a slight increase in unique audiences to the overall Current Events & Global News category,” added Perry.
